NEWS
Attention! The site's going through changes...
Date: Sunday, March 6 2005
Attention please! Very soon (probably from 8th till 15th of March) we are going to do some technical modifications to our site. This means that during this period of several days helloween.ru may become unavailable. We're sorry for this inconvenience and will try to keep the "offline" period as short as possible. Stay tuned! Later on there will be some substantial updates and additions to the website's content, we hope :)
Schwarzmann to join Accept
Date: Tuesday, March 1 2005
It hasn't taken long for Stefan Schwarzmann to find a new job after leaving Helloween. As we've just learned, he is going to join his old band, Accept, on their reunion world tour (which will include Russia). The band's line-up is to be: Udo Dirkschneider (vocals), Wolf Hoffmann (guitar), Herman Frank (guitar), Peter Baltes (bass) and Stefan Schwarzmann (drums). The rehearsals should start in March or April. Now we wonder if this reunion weren't the real reason for Schwarzmann to part ways with Helloween?
Just a Little Break
Date: Sunday, February 20 2005
It is probably the most hard-working period of production of the new pumpkin record. But Markus Grosskopf doesn't forget about his another project, Kickhunter, nevertheless. In the very beginning of February he appeared in Hamburg to play a gig in one of the clubs with the rest of kickhunters. Right after their show, two of his pals rendered their help as musicians to Jutta Weinhold. And next came a big party, which, of course, Markus didn't miss... Read the original news HERE
On "Rabbit's" trail
Date: Thursday, February 17 2005
While we are waiting impatiently the release of the new album and the next world tour, let's try to look back at the past. It was not long ago but it is already a part of the History. The Rabbit tour and the REPORT and two photoreports (from TAMPERE and HELSINKI) of Helloween gigs in Finland (June 2004) (EXCLUSIVE for www.helloween.ru):
"It was not only the desire to see another performance of the Rokfest (Moscow) headliners, which rocked me at the end of the last year, that made me go to Finland. Also I wanted to listen to the full set of the current worldwide tour because in Moscow there was only a short one-hour-festival gig. And I was eager to enjoy myself in the field of photography (it was almost impossible in Moscow because of technical conditions and very strict accreditation rules) as well. But the tour-manager (after a certain period of time I recognized him as a drummer of the legendary Pink Cream 69, a former band of Andi Deris, Costa Zafiriou) had answered my every question about shooting (full of respect and looking up at heavens): "I have to ask Andi!". To be honest I ended up without any information about Deris' opinion on shooting, but according to the results he wasn't against not only photographing but even flash was OK"...
Michael Weikath - "I'm not the Keeper"
Date: Saturday, February 12 2005
"The famous hand was flying... no, not over strings of a Les Paul, but over a sheet of paper. Kind, a bit tired fathomless azure eyes gazed at me from the unshaven face through the puffs of “Prince”-smoke. It was a few hours before the beginning of the gig, and it seemed everyone was in want of the guitarist of Helloween. And Michael almost forgot about his lunch and his colleagues and was signing a lot of stuff for some metalhead. The autographs and funny pumpkins were appearing one by one from a black felt-tip pen. I couldn’t wait the end of this process to ask questions that had already been born in my sleepy mind. Finally, I asked them all and Michael answered to me with a great patience despite of my drowsiness"...

Stefan Schwarzmann has left Helloween!!!
Date: Friday, February 11 2005
This morning we've been really surprized by the recent comments of Stefan Schwarzmann on his own website, http://www.stefanschwarzmann.com, about his departure from Helloween. He wishes all the best to the rest of the band and his successor, who appears to be Dani Loeble, an ex-Rawhead Rexx drummer and an incredibly talented musician. You can read the official press release of the band HERE. A bit later we've found out the confirmation of these changes in the official band's sources.
Daniel Loeble previously played in such bands as Hoellenhunde, Glenmore, and Rawhead Rexx, and most lately in Blaze as a tour drummer. He was born in February 1973 and graduated from Zuerich Acadamy of Contemporary Music. It is quite probable that he was proposed as a possible candidate for the drummer position in Helloween by Charlie Bauerfeind, the band's producer, who is known to have a talent proposing new bandmembers to the Pumpkinheads. By the way, the last Rawned Rexx album 'Diary In Black' was mixed and mastered by Charlie Bauerfeind in Mi Sueno Studio in August, 2002.
A little update from the studio
Date: Tuesday, February 1 2005
Recently we've been happy to read on the Helloween official website that the new album's recording is going on very well. The exact release date and the next world tour schedule will be known in a few months. Meanwhile, have a look at the studio photos here, on helloween.org website.
Kiske the Philosopher
Date: Tuesday, February 1 2005
While Helloween, Masterplan and Gamma Ray are releasing (or have already released) new albums this year, Michael Kiske prepares a different kind of present to his fans. Looking at the creative research he does on his own website, one can guess that perhaps soon he's going to release a new book. And it might as well be that compared to it, "Kunst and Materialismus", his previous work, will look like fiction made for fun... Meanwhile, those who know German can have a look at Michael's articles at his philosophic site, http://www.geisteskind.de
Michael Kiske's birthday
Date: Monday, January 24 2005
Today is the birthday of Michael Kiske, the man whose voice helped Helloween to reach legendary status in Keeper times. We're wishing him success in his new creative explorations, peace of mind and many good friends around!
